Between our soaring deficit, health care fleecing, & the specter of total annihilation by means of cap & tax looming over our heads, I’ve been in a macabre mood lately which led me to this interesting book about planetary defense.
The author categorizes attacking civilizations into five levels and postulates that we wouldn’t see anything below high alpha as they’d lack the technology to get to us and there’s no point in considering anything above mid beta as it’d be no contest.
So, there’s a thin sweet spot where they both could get to us & yet we’d have some chance of successfully defending ourselves. In this scenario, women start mega dosing on fertility drugs to produce the three children per year required to replenish the military and other interesting stuff like that.
Anyway, I thought some of you folks would enjoy this.
