Welcome to the adventure that is South Florida. That happened about 10 miles from my house. Wonder how many ex-marines will they meet in jail that might take offense at what they did?

For all we know they might be ex-marines.

If they were Marines it would not have been a .22.

    Well, pretty close!

Short Thread Jack: Fasted58, where do you live? I have noticed in a few posts that you must be near where I am. I live in New Alexandria and work in Latrobe.

You need to meet more Marines, because you seem to completely lack understand of what it is to be a Marine.

Father-in-law, his sons, Uncle, two cousins and several childhood friends whom I am still friendly with. Only young marines believe that E36 M3 they tell you to make you do what they need done. Everyone is a little wiser in their old age. Or savagely drunk... but no more or less dangerous than anybody else.

It's not a choice or a belief; there are characteristics you'll see are common amongst Marines, even the ones that have berkeleyed up.

In case I ever get shot, I'm definitely taking note of the tampon thing though.

Just ones that are in combat or does it happen in basic training? Or are you saying that certain people are marines at birth? In that case, aren't there marines that never joined the service?

There are certain things which draw men and women to the Marine Corps which are intensified by the training, and environment. The person joining the Corps is typically a very different kind of person than the one joining the other branches...

Then these civilians go to Boot camp.. It isn't basic training. Basic training teaches folks how to do army things. At basic you learn skills. Basic stuff...

At Boot camp you are transformed into a Marine. It is tough to explain.. but boot camp is as much about building Marines as it is teaching you basic skills..

    And Marine is always capitalized..
