Just because I can, and I'm trying to get my $12 worth.

If you see Delta flight 1069 pass over your house, you should totally moon me.

Is it unfiltered? (no web-sense style software blocking certain "objectionable" websites?)

    (Just wondering)

You're sitting in chair. In the sky.

So, are you using the mobile site?

Yep (had to close THAT window pretty quick).

It's actually pretty fast (about 2k down and 1.5k up) considering we're in midair. Not sure about latency. I do lose the connection to our online disk from time to time, but it comes right back. I assume that's the signal handing off from a different access point.

Actually heading to San Jose for a Nissan press event (NISMO 370Z and 370Z convert). But the flight from daytona to San Jose were pretty grisly, so they have me coming in to San Fran.

I'll try to get video up tomorrow night on the car if I have time to put something together (and a decent connection).

Most importantly, do I go for the fruit and cheese plate, or the almond butter and grape jelly sandwich?

Do you have your car GPS unit with you, like a Garmin?

If you have a window seat you can get it to hook up and it will tell you exactly where you are. I find it interesting. You see a river and by zooming in and out you can find the name of the river.
When I go to the stats section of my Garmin it says that my fastest speed is 574mph

You are currently over Oklahoma, and if you came closer than 3 or 400 miles away I might have done some mooning. Though my boss might have been confused, not upset, just confused.

I'd have stood up and high-fived someone if it was me. No way I'd let work like that go unrecognized.

I will say that my back is becoming less tolerant of flying every time I fly. Airplane seats are not designed for actual humans.

Now I gotta go school some suckers on the inflight trivia.

I have never once seen inflight trivia. I gotta fly on better planes or something.

And if you're ever up in KC on a Friday, I'll take you to live trivia. It'll humble ya, real quick.

    Get the Kosher meal.

My favorite part of flying is the takeoff. When they crank those turbines up and let 'em go, it really pushes you back in your seat. Reminds me of riding in a hot rod at WOT!

I love the landing, when they first touchdown and you can feel the plane a little squirrely until it slows enough to settle down onto the runway.... kinda like riding in an STS Miata with a half crazy driver.

Sneak up to Oakland. There are plenty of pretty decent canyon roads. Some are pretty tight though. I had to pull over once on my suzuki to let a bicyclist pass. He didn't put on all that spandex to go slow, apparently. Keep an eye on traffic, the Bay Bridge is closing for mods from 9/3-9/7, so the other bridges like Golden Gate may have a butt-load of traffic.

I saw a blimp floating above my house today. My brother and I were staring at it for 20 minutes. Somewhere along the line, we started to imagine how easy it would be to fly one. You should be able to rent a blimp. To fly. And party in.

Last time I flew was on a 757-200. I was sitting on the starboard side right infront of the wing. As we were throttling up for takeoff, I spotted some debris on the side of the runway. It was a notebook that was slowly being sucked towards the waiting engine. I wanted SO bad to see it get sucked in.

My step daughter got to fly the GoodYear blimp when she was 5 years old. Yes I mean pilot it not just fly on it, lucky dang kid. Anyone can do it.
