Both old (like, just celebrated its 75th anniversary old):

Golden Gate in California

And new: Zakim Bunker Hill bridge in Boston. As a mechanical engineer, I appreciate their engineering elegance.

This one is very near here. I really don't much care for the way it looks. I wish they had made it look more like the one is Bahston!

That is a lovely bridge.

I didn't realize you were in St. Joe!

The original Paseo Bridge was pretty cool lit up at night, but the Kit Bond bridge is much nicer.

Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge in Maysville, Ky. My great-grandfather helped secure the funding for the bridge's construction, and as a young girl my great-aunt Jane cut the ribbon for its opening in 1931. So I take a personal interest in this one.

Cues a funny memory...

My fiance's mother was coming to visit us at our apartment in Pittsburgh. She has no GPS, doesn't travel much, so she got a bit lost and called us looking for directions.

The line was "I just went over the big yellow bridge"

Our response.. "Ummmmm, do you have ANY idea how many big yellow bridges there are in Pittsburgh?!?!?!"

We still crack on her for it.

Ok, so not that pretty. I have to represent the bridge that has taken me and my family back to our roots in Kentucky for many family visits.
