I just hate it when the block fails just above the crank.
They may want to consider head straps. That's a lot of weight to go flying through the air.

Does it count if the engine made the full pull? That could be a new cheat... if you're not going to make it, just hit the propane and send the engine ahead of you.
Actually, I'm looking for the article, but somewhere in new england several years ago there was a 10k or marathon in which there was a woman with a prosthetic leg. Nearing the end, her prosthesis was loose so she grabbed it and threw it across the finish line to beat someone who had just passed her.
If you think about it, according to the rules, she won.
