What is the fix when the brake pedal has been pressed down when the hydro boost system is completely empty of fluid?

This is a new installation – all new parts – and the directions provided stated that the brake pedal should not be pressed until the unit was filled and bled. A over-anxious foot stepped on the pedal prematurely and a click was heard from the hydro-boost. This is a power brake install in a 1940 Chev 6-cylinder and this is new territory for us. Was a problem created and, if so, what must be done to correct the situation?

Your going to have to bleed the master cylinder and hydro boost out of the car more then likely.
