Ok, so I put it to the GRM crowdsource. I have a project car I need moved from Dallas to Houston. It is non-running and would have to be flat towed (no dolly). What is probably the most economical service I could use (since I don't have a truck to move said vehicle)? Ideas? Thanks!

you could rent a truck and trailer together

Get AAA+ and wait a few weeks for the full benefits to kick in :)

Penske trucks rented one way have unlimited mileage. Rent one from Fort Worth to Dallas one way, with trailer, and just take the long way there through Houston. Looks like the 16' truck is the same price as the 12', at $112 or so, plus $50 for the trailer. Add in the gas for someone to follow you back up to Dallas to drop you off and you're still probably under $200. Play around online with your pickup and drop off locations and you may even do better.
