Wonder what my local taxidermist would say if i showed up with a Python?

Down here, it's probably, "You want it holding the beercan or the see-gar?"

    Fixed that for you.

[in my best drawl] Hey, down in Polk County we mount our critters proper-like. We don't have none of that foolin' around like y'all big city folks do over on the coast.

A friend of mine had a large Iguana. (4 ft or so) He brought it by one day, and as it was sitting on my buddy's shoulder the beast let loose a firehose-like torrent of diarrhea which covered my friend in nasty reptile poo.

Great pets don't cover you in their feces. Unless you train them to.

Jeez, Joe. I can handle shootings, stabbings, beheadings, and drawn and quartered bodies being thrown into the mix, but what you just described just grosses me OUT!

    the velocity was astounding!

"After all I've done for you and this is how you thank me?" or was it "since I never got to do this before.....Why not?" always sorry to hear about having to let a friend go.

When I look at Iguanas or other lizard like things I can only think of them as small dinosaurs and want to get them away from me. I guess I can go ahead an expand this to all reptiles - I don't think they can be trusted or reasoned with - they only want to figure out a way to eat, bite, scratch, and/or poison you.

I pretty much feel the same way about pet birds - also just dinosaurs in disguise. I like my pets to have fur, not feathers or scales.

Nah, birds are good critters to have in the garage while you're tinkering:

im good with birds, had quit a few, my cockatoo was scary smart and actually formed sentences on his own. sometimes it was kinda creepy actually, but he was affectionate and would curl up in my lap and sleep like a dog might.
otoh, im not real fond of the idea of a 15 foot python stalking the cat (dog, neighbor kids) in my back yard. nothing against humongous reptiles, just dont want to be consumed by one. ive seen how big these critters can get in the glades first hand, and i dont think they have any interest in getting warm and fuzzy with humans.
