I found a TH Tesla Roadster at work the other day if anyone is looking for one.
(Looking at the red Delorean.) Can someone recall the name of the original car which had this color/tampo scheme back in the early 80s? It was one of my favorites as a kid but I can't remember the name. I thought it was pretty cool that they put this scheme on the Delorean, and I'd like to track down the earlier car as well.

I thought it was a Lancia Montecarlo. Can't seem to find a photo online. I have it in a box at home.
Almost forgot, the HotWheel collector show is Sunday at Hara Arena in Dayton OH... I plan to remember a bag this time, versus juggling until someone gives me a plastic bag eventually.
I'll be there with a good friend. We're in the overflow hotel and should arrive either Wednesday night or Thursday early afternoon.
I scored some pretty good stuff at the show. Almost everyone is willing to deal, and this was a good one. Multiple Lambo's, and 5 Ferrari's for $7 (pull-back cars that were a gas station promo?). A R&T magazine from 1985 talking about the newest mid-engine car, and comparisons to 5 other 2-seaters for $1. My favorites:
Some say he's available in 1/64th scale...
Bought 3-4 Porsche's from someone, but this one a guy behind me bought two of these and asked if the guy had more, I said he did until 30 seconds ago
Wouldn't be a show without me coming home with another Lamborghini. Found a couple Hot Wheels but this larger one I got for $4.
Favorite of the day, and in the first aisle I walked. I forget what I paid, not much, I know I knocked a few dollars off his price. I think I'll keep this one in the package.
In reply to Jerry:
I gave my kids that car to play with. I should ask my dad if he remembers when I got it.

Good find! I've had that Fiat for maybe thirty years, but mine is beat to heck ;)
Decided to skip the wet rainy cold rallycross opener today and had time to check out the toy store in Bellbrook. Got this guy and two Hot Wheels for $25:
It's huge, Hot Wheel for comparison. Hood and hatch open, front wheels turn, even has latches for the doors you can just see in the photo. He had another Lambo but this was the model and color I got to drive in 2014 so it won my vote.
My Lambo collection, minus about 8 or so Hot Wheels in another display.

I too bought that Fiat when I worked at Kmart in the early 1980's while in college. It might be one of the first cars I bought as an "adult". Mine spent a lot of time on my desk being zoomed around when I was on hold waiting for customers.

Holy berk- that was my favorite die cast car when I was a kid!
I didn't know what a "fy-at" was, but I knew I wanted to drive one.
Thanks for the share!

You're thinking of the Turismo. Was supposed to be a Delorean, but they did not get the license.

Thanks:
A casting I collect, along with most Porsche castings... I have every version readily available in the US (one version I was looking for at the nationals that is a German release) and then this was sitting innocently in a fellows prototype collection. This appears to be an early fit and finish sample, it isn't exactly how they are produced but is very close, I am happy with it!
