As a 100% pro gun guy, I have to wonder who would even want that thing. What's the infatuation with rifles/calibers so large that they're completely useless and cost $10 per round to shoot?

Some people own 1000hp cars, or have gold plated faucets in their house...it's because they can, it doesn't have to make sense.

    1) Because he can!

    2) Because his claws are too sharp and he can"t find the hand lotion?

Sort of explains why of my 20 cars 16 are 8 cylinder, 3 are 6 cylinder but only 1 is 4 cylinder.

    Grunt, grunt.

I thought they said it was $40 a round? Guess that makes it 4x as useless.

Just imagine the first zombie you got with it.. and the 10 behind it

The wikipedia article classes it as a "Range Queen". I can see that, because the only thing you could hunt that it wouldn't vaporize would be a Rhino.

You'd have to be nuts to sit down at a bench behind that thing. I don't care how heavy it is. And that last poor goober, who lined up directly behind the rifle and then leaned into it...just because he's clueless is no excuse for inviting him to hurt himself.

As a 100% Car guy, I have to wonder who would even want a Corvette. What's the infatuation with cars so fast and expensive that they're completely useless and cost more than $100 a week in gas?

Fair enough, but at least Corvettes are fun to drive. I have to question whether a rifle like the one in the original link is even fun to shoot.

I believe everyone who fired it were grinning afterwards.....course, it might be the fear-induced grin when thinking how that thing possibly could have ripped their shoulder apart, but you never know

In the end, so guys are just recoil junkies. They like to shoot big things just because they can. I can't blame them, I have the biggest desire to fire a PTRD or PTRD is 14.5x114mm....which makes roughly double the muzzle energy of the .50 BMG. But I think I'd draw the line there, personally anyways.

I have a Corvette. It is neither fast nor expensive. I have hauled my hockey goalie gear in it so it is not completely useless. ;-) Gas is about $50 a week.

Back on topic. I'd shoot it. Wouldn't own it.
