No, I'm not trying to spy on the neighbours .

We're on a fairly large property and have all sorts of wildlife wander through, like some wild horses this morning, coyotes, rabbits and lots of other wildlife.

We also seem to have the odd night visit in the yard from the furry & purry brigade and would like to find out what sort of wild cat is gracing us with its presence. We seem to have some fairly well defined areas where they wander through (including the fenced in area of the yard, but even your average domestic cat can jump that fence) so I'm toying with the idea of setting up a couple of motion-activated IR cams to see who's wandering through.

    Any suggestions?

I think you can remove the IR filter from many cameras to create your own fairly cheap.

You'd probably want to add some IR spot lights as well.
