    Great chart there is so much random little stuff in there that it adds a lot of "feel" for how much a billion or a trillion really is...

    What exactly do they mean by a "typical" CEO? Presumably they don't mean the CEO of a small business, even though they're far more common than CEOs of big businesses and hence more typical.

    It is a very interesting chart, though, just a minor nitpick.

    its troll fodder...its extremely interesting and insightful, and looks like it represents a lot of time and effort...but its power can too-easily be used by the forces of evil (trolls) and therefore must be destroyed ...for the good of all mankind

    There is a note on terminology in the Billions portion of the chart. That might answer your question. Another place to look for clarification might be on XKCD website.

    Like a book burnin'?! I thought we only did that to witches and/or scientists! Looks like I made a redundant statement in that last sentence.
