I will comemerate him ny watching smockey and the bandit after work. maybe 3, cause in that one He was the bandit....and it had a 3rd Gen, my favorite.
East Bound and Down.
Godspeed...
Damn! He is one of my favorite artists. He is (was) a massively under-rated musican, with insane guitar picking talent, and he was also a great storyteller. A great, funny man.
His depiction of Snowman in Smokey and the Bandit was the best portrayal of the American Trucker ever caught on film.
"Nearly bout starved to death down in Memphis, when I ran out of money an luck, so I bummed me a ride down to Macon Georgia on an overloaded poultry truck."
"Amos Moses was a Cajun, lived by his-self in the swamp. Hunted alligator for a livin, by hittin em over the head with a stump"
RIP Mr. Reed. Enjoy the hootnanny in Heaven!
Oh no, not another of my favorites.
'Well, gotta stop and put some groceries down m'neck. Snowman is out!'
"Uhhhhmmm.....send....bill....to...."
"Big...Enos...Burdett. Burdett...B-r...B-u-r...B-......Hell I got to go!"
Another funny Jerry Reed movie is Hot Stuff. It's a B movie, but the premise is darn funny and Jerry is his usual silly self. Look it up.
