As one who has run his rototiller on its tines to see just how fast it would go, I don't advise doing it. At least not with a rear tine tiller. Sometimes when you go over a berm you can misjudge and catch the nose in the ground. Then the unit tips up, you go under, and it drops down on your legs. It's an interesting sensation, but not one I recommend to others.
