So, my anniversary is coming up soon and it's time to start thinking about a gift. I don't think a new set of 10" A008's would make her as happy as it would make me, so.....
my wife collects purses like I collect cars and I like the way those seatbelt purses look. Anybody here make one before and wanna make some extra coin? I know they are available on eBay, but I'd trust a stranger from GRM before I'd trust a stranger from eBay. If an eBayer crosses me I can leave negative feedback, if a GRM'er crosses me, I can tell Marjorie.

Not what you were asking for, but Mid-America Motorworks has coin purses and bags made out of materials that look exactly like the vinyl in a 60's-70's aircooled VW.

I think Speedway Motors still sells Seat Belt purses as well. If no one steps up who makes their own.

I have no idea where it came from but my niece got a seatbelt bag for Christmas this year - it was pretty cool and seemed to be well made.

edit: There's also this company that makes handbags from vintage auto upholstery: http://kimwhitehandbags.com/
