Does this mean no more October challenge?
I wonder if discussing times prior to deadline discouraged a lot of people from submitting. I knew I was beat pretty badly, and I was considering not entering. Perhaps for the next one we should have an informal "refrain from posting times before it's over" rule to keep the interest up? Just a thought...
Well, I was going to say these challenges will pick up when they release GT5, but I did a quick check and found this:
"Well, I hate to say I told you so, but…IGN has an interview with Kazunori Yamauchi, the game studio's founder and boss. In this interview, Yamauchi tells the world what some of us had suspected: GT5 may well not see the light of day until 2010. In fact, PD is not even focusing on the game right now and is instead working on GT5 Prologue."

I think participation is down because of the real challenge. I would participate, but I can't find my copy of GT4 (!!)
No, I think it was the combination of being the first month to try again and really not picking a good challenge (my fault). I'll throw up a $20080 October Challenge tonight.
My only complaint with this challenge was the tight restraint on car selection. It was like a spec race, which isn't really in the spirit of the GRM challenge. Not to mention the FD is a turd in GT4.
