What a shame. Glad this wasn't my car, but can you imagine the power of the shredder in yours?

Couldn't they have killed a Chevy Corsica instead?
THAT
WAS
AWESOME
At least it was a Super.
You guys should check out their website. They shred all kinds of things
Can we rent one of those things for the Challenge? Imagine the possibilities! ![]()
Lemons...
thats what ya get for being a dirty hippie....
tough to watch that and not think of Saddam Hussein.
Friends of mine have a much more powerfull shredder for devouring cars. Heck, it's made for devouring semi's and school busses and the like.

what was wrong with the super? I had 4 beetles over the years.. a 68, 69, and two 74 supers.. I prefered the supers

I have nothing against them really (I have only driven a Super once, never owned either), but in terms of value and collector desirability it's not as much of a shame to have lost one. Dad has owned both, and when I found one last year and asked him about going in on it with me, he said no way when he found out it was a Super, for whatever that's worth :).

Saw that on Time Warp. The answer is Yes.
that machine sounds angry...I would be too if you made me eat a bug!!!
sweet!
... and watch your step walking around on top.
..oops
Amazing amount of power in that shredder to annihilate engine blocks and drivetrain pieces and keep on going. Yeah, I can think of a few people in my life I'd like to have their cars dropped in one.
I doubt that car had it's engine and trans when it went into the shredder..
I did like how the floor under the battery was patched though
Umm.
The one at the recycling yard here shreds whole cars, engine and all.
The biggest bit coming out the other end is about the size of your fist.
You should see what happens when they feed it a propane tank
Shawn
Saw the propane tank on the first failed episode of Monster Garage. That was a damn big explosion!
