Don't forget, Gone is REAL stunts filmed on real streets in real traffic without a permit at times in a very real Mach 1. Guerilla filmmaking at it's finest.
Remake Gone is nick cage jumping a CGI (bridge scene) mustang-that-never-was.

They did have permits for that filming in the original Gone. Not everything went as planned - such as the big pole hit - but if you watch the extras on the DVD they talk about the level of support given.
