The one that has the little race dude holding a wrench on the back.

Female: "He must have a wrench because his E36 M3ty car breaks down all the time."

    Since when is a Z06 a E36 M3ty car though?

It's been years since I had a GRM T-shirt. Guess I should've asked the wife for one for Christmas.

after brunch in a fairly nice part of town a few weeks back, the g/f and i were driving through looking at the houses we can't afford, and out of one of the half million dollar homes comes a guy walking his poodle-mix wearing an "i am the Stig" t-shirt.

If you were smart, you'd drive her around look at homes you actually COULD afford, telling her you couldn't. Then, when it's time to buy, well, isn't she surprised?

well, eventually we'll be able to afford one of those houses, but that wasn't why we were in the neighborhood, we were there because that's where the fancy brunch place was.

That whole "I am the Stig" thing is past its sell date, in my opinion.

Only funny if Ben Collins or Stig Schroeder is wearing it.

I have more GRM shirts than I do anything else. GRM shirts account for about half of my "good" shirts and about 1/4 of my "work" shirts. They should hire me based on this alone :p

I used to have some when they came with subscriptions. I only wear shirts that advertise something if they are free.

I wish I had a picture of my old GRM shirt that I got for free with a subscription one year. It was a medium (too big), so it became my "working on cars" shirt. It was so greasy, you guys would've been proud. Along with grease, it had some anti-seize on it, as well as some RTV and CRC brake quiet, which was smeared in a way that sort of looked like blood. Hell, there probably WAS blood on there somewhere...

And to that female: She's probably just bitter because she drives some E36 M3 new VW that breaks constantly.

Heh, heh. Not only does he get to race because he has that wrench..he also gets to use his vacation days for vacation, instead of calling out from work because the car won't start.

I have 2 from subscriptions, 2 Challenge shirts, and 2 of the black ones. I've only paid for the black ones, and that was because I liked the design. One of the black ones was purchased the day the drags were rained out at the Challenge this year and I didn't have another dry shirt with me. Tim talked me into it after seeing my ATF-drenched GRM shirt.

I dunno, I guess it's like flying gang colors when I'm out doing car stuff.

Somewhere, in South Carolina, sammiches are not being made...

One day, while I was wearing my GRM white tee, some girl told me my e30 was a E36 M3ty car.

    I laughed.

She's a BMW fangirl. OMG superior German buttons and interior and engineering and whatnot. I'm a dedicated bachelor, for the time being, so I'm not really interested in having women make me sammiches.
