According to the news I saw, He doesn't have to be interviewed by police for a simple traffic accident, only provide ID and proof of insurance.

Uh huh, sounds like the wife caught him doing something wrong, cracked him with a golf club, and chased him down the driveway smashing the rear window and leaving him drifting in and out of consciousness on the street after he crashed while trying to escape.

Just keep the golf clubs far enough from the stove that she can't get them

I do think he is probably telling the truth:

I'm pretty sure it is also true that his wife DID in fact smash out his window with a golf club.
and, I'm even pretty certain the police were accurate when they said he was:
"in and out of it for several minutes"
PERHAPS even LONGER. 
There's a LOT of truth out there.
Here's some pics of the wreck. Front is destroyed, and he clearly went forward over the fire hydrant.
I'm thinking the bimbo went out the back door of the house, while Ms. Tiger chased him down the driveway and the street beating the crap out of him and his car with his DRIVING iron.

Some other woman has come forward to claim she's been having an affair with Tiger. Too early to say if she's telling the truth or just jumping on the bandwagon.
