you do realize that once you get blow the very thin skin of atmosphere and rock, the earth is a huge ball of molten iron and that a few degrees of change on the "skin" would not have any effect on the mass distribution of the planet, right?
as for pie- Apple all the way. with cool whip.

I don’t think you want to say that it wouldn’t have “any effect”. Of course it would, it has to, so the real question is: do we have sufficient measurement precision to detect it”. As it turns out, the answer is yes…we see variations in rotation rate that correspond to seasonality, solar activity, etc.
So, when we remove pecans from a tree, turn them into a pie, eat the pie, and ultimately send the remnants down a drain, we are most certainly increasing the earths rotation rate.
