Dad's rally car 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R #222 Red with twin black stripes
from nose to tail was stolen around 3:02AM Saturday (10/6/18) morning from
the Hotel RL (Red Lion) in Olympia. ARA's EZ Track system pinged it in
motion at that time on 101S, but has not pinged since.

Ian Davis, one of the PNW Sweep crews spotted it around 5:15am being driven
near the Safeway in Tumwater. This is the last confirmed sighting.

As many of you know, this is one of the three identical Nissans we prepped
and raced starting in the late 1990s/early 2000s. It is the only one of the
three still competing, and is of great significance to our family and Dad in
particular.

A police report has been filed, but we need your help!! If you are in
Western Washington, either you live there or you're traveling through there
or whatever, PLEASE keep an eye out for it. It is not a subtle vehicle,
obviously, being a caged stage rally car. We want it back if possible, and
are offering a small reward. No awkward questions will be asked.

Please help!!! You can contact me directly if you have any questions or
information. Email is best. kristent@taboraccountinggroup.com

I saw various posts on Facebook...a real bummer for your family and for PacNW rally history. I'll keep an eye peeled!!

You have to wonder what the goal of stealing such a car is.  It's not like those cars are super popular anymore.  Someone really wants the engine?  Part it out? Not sure there is a big market for either.  I would guess some sort of joy ride type of thing would be the most obvious.  Hopefully they don't dump it off a cliff to try and hide it.

You'll need to log in to post.
