I am surrounded by it everyday. I deal with it at work, but when it's the people I know, I've had enough.
Today, it's our friend that runs our foster group.
She decided to take her kids to the Shedd Aquarium. For those who don't know, the Shedd is right next to Soldier Field where the Chicago Bears play. Today there is a game.
She is clogging up FaceBook with status messages about how she hates football and the Bears because she had to take two bus transfers and sit in delayed traffic etc. Ok, I understand your frustration.
Then she goes as far as going into my status message about the game and bitching about how she hates the Bears and parking for the Shedd (which is shared with Soldier Field) is $50 and has made her day miserable.
Ok, now you've made yourself look like the fool. You apparently didn't check anything ahead of time. You didn't make sure a football game wasn't playing or any other event for that matter was happening ahead of time. It's the city and E36 M3 is happening all the time. The Field Museum, the Shedd, and the Adler Planetarium all share the same campus with Soldier Field, hence they all share the same parking.
Stop blaming the damn sport and team for your blatant lack of planning.
I also can't say any of this to her because she runs our foster group and we need to be on good terms with her.
:End Rant:
