Just saw the Tebow commercial, I don't see what the fuss was about. I was more offended by the Boost mobile one with the Superbowl Shuffle.....

Doh!!, I do wish we could edit Thread titles........

A lot of the fuss was about the fact that CBS had no problem running an ad with a controversial conservative/christian viewpoint, but wouldn't run an ad for a gay dating website.

I was surprised to see Jay Leno in that ad with Letterman.

    Yeah, that was um...interesting.

Overall I was pretty unimpressed. I'm already sick to death of Danica Patrick.

First Doritos commercial (dog bark collar) wins.

Does anyone still get suckered into the allegedly unrated "see what happens next" content for GoDaddy? Been a while since I bit at that tease for nothing, I assume nothing's changed.

yeah, I was unimpressed as well.

I liked the little kid. "don't touch my momma, don't touch my doritos."

I didn't see the game at all. I ended up spending 5 hours in the dark room at school working on an assignment.

Gotta agree on the first Dorito's ad, although the violin-playing beaver would have beaten the dog out if not for the choice of instrument.

A beaver that can play sax would be awesome, while one that plays drums would be kinda creepy... One that plays violin is just, well, mehh...

I liked the Snickers Betty White / Abe Vigoda spot. I actually called the punch line before he popped onto the screen and amazed the entire group.

my reactions to the superbowl commercials:

    • not enough pants
    • dodge charger FTMFW
    • doritos make a badass weapon
    • budweisers ad team is as bad or worse than their brewers:Bridge=suck, horse/cow friendship=suck, floating beer cuz its liess calories=suck so on and so forth and all of these things
    • either Im getting more cynical by the day (likely), or advertisers are no longer marketing to me (more likely), or the latest generation of ad people suck at their jobs (most likely)

My favorite part of the Stuperbowl was when they brought out Betty White and Abe Vigoda to lipsynch all those old rock and roll songs. That Abe Vigoda sure looks like he could play guitar for real, doesn't he? And I swear it almost look like Betty was really singing.

The commercials all sucked, but at least the game was good.

I thought Bud and Doritos spent the most money for the least results based on their multiple fails. Go Daddy continues with their streak of dumb superbowl commercials. I was really hoping for no more talking baby stock trader ads this year, but was disappointed.

I have no idea how/why Leno was in the Letterman commercial.

Were there just as many or maybe even more commercials for CBS shows than there were paid ads? Is that because companies are not spending or is the ratio always that high? It was like, they only got about half the ad spots sold so they showed us Doogie Howser over and over again.

The game was better than the commercials. That doesn't happen very often.

Well...the Denny's commercials were really stupid.

I like the one with the girl in the tub posting a photo of herself and all the mayhem that ensues. I really can't tell you what the ad was for, so it fails.

    That is all...

I'm just glad the TV in the break room was on history when I had lunch instead of the all day pre-game crap. And I wasn't out of my dept. till 1/2 hour after the game was over.

    I ignored it rather well
