    The Fiat commercial was retarded.

We all felt that it actually detracted from the car. If your making a small, fuel efficient, performance oriented car, lets hear more about it!

Instead, we relate the car to women, and coffee drinking geeks.

    I loved that commercial.

Wow! I'd buy one just because of the commercial!

I'd love to see a translation of what she was saying.

Would it even matter? The answer would still be yes

What, nobody liked Motley Crue and the KIA? I thought that one was pretty good. I also loved the ABARTH one, even though I had seen it before (and I made myself not watch any of the commercials released before the game just so I could enjoy them). The Genesis Coupe one was good. The CRV one was LAME. The NSX one was weak until Leno, and still wasn't that good. The Great Dane and Wego were both good. The Veloster Turbo one got the most laughs at our party. All of the other ones were so bad I don't even remember them.

Man, I need to get caught up.... Being overseas=no Super Bowl commercials. The Super Bowl aired at like 0500 local, well after I went to bed.

I caught most of the game today but still have not seen 98% of the commercials

I liked the Clint Eastwood Chrysler Commercial it wasn't so much about Chrysler as it was about the America.

The Audi Head Light Commercial was good too; my wife is ibto all the vampire stuff and thought it was funny.

I enjoyed the Chevy Silverado commercial. One because it was funny and two because Ford got upset about it and wrote GM and NBC letters to remove it before it aired and GM didn't back down.

The Silverado commercial got a chuckle from me too, especially the Twinkies and the rain of frogs. Ford's trying to get it pulled off the air seems like they may be painting a target on themselves - somebody in the corporate office has just declared they can't take a joke.

Doritos is definitely on a roll, although I'm not sure if I like the bribing dog or the baby slingshot spot better.

The biggest ad that SHOULD have been a joke and wasn't - whose idea was it to try turning the Battleship board game into a movie? It kind of reminds me of this:

    Minesweeper: The Movie

Could be worse; at least Battleship has an ocean and ships, and you can film that. They could have tried to make Sorry into a movie, or some other game that's so abstract that you're not sure what to point the camera at. But making a movie out of a board game with the barest sketch of a setting, no recognizable characters, and no plot whatsoever just seems to be a really bad idea to me.

I liked the Darth Vader bit after the VW dog one.

What are you looking at?! (slap)
Are you undressing me with your eyes?
Poor guy… you can’t help it.
    Is your heart beating?
    Is your head spinning?
Do you feel lost thinking that I could be yours forever?

...yeah. I think I'll watch it several more times and try to sync up the words.

I laughed at some of the comercials and totally ignored others. IMHO, the NSX commercial was the most effective of all of them.

The NSX is an expensive exotic car. The people who would buy one are also the people who would know about the "carguy" back ground of Seinfeld and Leno. That commercial was targeted at a very specfic group of people and if you weren't in that group you probably didn't have a clue.

I liked the sonic commercial. Any car with a roll cage is fine in my book. Overall, not as good as years past, but I don't watch the superbowl for the commercials(that's when you get up and use the restroom, or get yourself some food or a tasty beverage.

Buy a Fiat, you white-sock wearing American!

There was a commercial that used the Cult in the background, but then broke out into a rap song. I was confused and disoriented by the time it was done.

This is true. Fortunately, this year the game itself proved to be more entertaining than the commercials (provided you're a football fan).

    Agreed on the above points.

You forgot Adriana Lima as the flag girl in the KIA ad; MC, AL and the Optima SX FTW.

The Abarth ad may be "old" but it just doesn't get "old". I'd bet Fiat's website registered a lot more hits after that airing. And the scorpione tatto is memorabilia gold.

The Doritos Great Dane was funny even though I have never liked corn chips and love cats.

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the GE commercials. I mean, they spent a WHOLE lot of money on a couple of spots to advertise, well.... nothing.

They advertised that they supply power to Budweiser. That's something, right?

I thought it personified the typical Italian car: great to look at, hell to live with.

    1. Kia ad with the dream dust: that E36 M3 was funny, even though it had Motley Crue in it, I'd call this one my favorite, by far
    2. The Camry ad with the couch made of bikini-clad women got a lot of laughs at the party I was at
    3. I hate Jerry Seinfeld, and therefore hated the NSX ad
    4. The Chrysler ad was so mushy and cheesy and flag-waving it totally bombed in my opinion
    5. The Abarth ad was fun to watch, if only because that woman is Gorgeous, with a capital G, and the Italian didn't hurt

I'm pretty sure both the missiles and gatling guns would give me less of a headache.
