We were leaving the pet store the other day and she says "That's a cool old car!". I look over to see an Chevy Citation sitting at a stoplight. My fondness for crappy, unloved cars must be rubbing off.

Sorry, SWMBO. Can a moderator fix the typo in the title?

I've typo'd many o' titles. Eventually they disappear as your pride slowly returns.

I see nothing positive about anyone mistakenly seeing "Cool" in a Citation. By not correcting her, possibly with a savage beating for her own good - you are encouraging the kind of thinking that led to that car in the first place. Not cool. Not cool at all.

Speaking of the Citation, as our recent Turkey Rod Run came to a close, I passed three X11s here in town.

While I agree that the Citation is not cool, and actually sucks pretty hard to have to drive, at least I now know that she won't be imbarassed to drive cheap, E36 M3ty cars.

An X11 would be epic, but a standard citation, meh...

Strangely enough I encountered an X-11 in the wild last night.

It is odd how a lot of 80's cars that I thought were hideously ugly at the time have aged well and I now look at them with a bit of interest. The citation is absolutely not one of them. That thing (although in well maintained condition) was nasty looking.

DSW, no love for "the first chevy of the eighties"? i'm shocked. ;-) the X11 has a true racing herigate, at least in the earliest years. i think that was the first Heinricy SCCA showroom stock racer, no?

Developed specifically to run in Showroom Stock B with Heinricy.
