    TG US or Car Show?

I scream at the TV everytime Faust is on it. I wished Paul Tracy would have hit him with some random rental on Battle of the Supercars.

    I vote Car Show

I haven't seen the second episode of The Car Show yet, but hope they both stay on the air...having a choice is always a good thing. I like Top Gear USA, and haven't decided about TCS. There is room in the market for more than one show in a genre....how many reality TV shows are there about pawn brokers?

Way, way too early to tell, TG has one season under their belts which isn't really fair to compare yet, but the Car Show has just two episodes.

Give them both more time to find their stride. It's rough to compare them the TG UK at this early stage.... and you know you do.

Some of Season 1 TGUS was certainly tough to watch, but there were a few episodes I really liked, much more than The Car Show. Its like ADD, seems they have just minutes to spend on any one segment then its time for something else, no time for it to really get entertaining.

Dont get me wrong will continue to watch both but so far I like TGUS a lot more.

The Car Show is like ESPN but for cars. Wasn't the basketball player on a sports show?

Yea, John Salley was on "the best damn sports show" on Fox Sports for a while. I think that show died.

Saw a little of the Car Show- wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I didn't see the entire show.

TGUSA has an attitude issue for me. As in the other thread, the lines like 'we had 12 hours to make some modifications' or 'take it away, stig'- are said as if you were reading from a scrip, and no irony or comedy are put in. While TG is becoming formulaic, the way the show is presented, and the way things are said makes it more amusing.

Would I want Foust to start a "some say..." series for the stig? Not really, but they can come up with something- better than "take it away, stig'.

The second season will be interesting.

but both TG and tCS needs to keep away from the pure info like motor week, and the pure commercials like two guys (etc), but be creative and put something into the delivery to make it fun, interesting, whatever.

Neither is really what I'd like them to be. Yet. Still, they're more interesting to me than most of the other shows on cable. I will continue to watch both, just to see which way they go.

I find them both vaguely interesting. I find Carolla and Tanner equally grating, so it's sort of a toss up. The guy from the smoking tire.com or whatever it is seems better than all of the rest from both shows.

It's hard. I find myself fast forwarding TG US just to find a part that is interesting.

I've only seen one episode of the Car Show, so I can't really say yet.

After the new episode of TG US, I'm ready to say that it's head and shoulders above the Car Show.

For a show called "The Car Show", I'd like to see less talking and more driving. Carolla slept through the LeMons bit, and did the Rolls Royce piece from the back seat. Needs more tire smoke, IMHO.
