I have one like this but it's 110V and it's on a pole :)

So it's basically a set of clippers that can run out of batteries and has many exciting failure modes.

I swear the first time through the gif was of a foot operating it.

Milwaukee has a M12 version of that. It's on my list of tools to buy. It would be super handy around the yard.

I gotta admit, for all the broken branches in my yard from the winter storm, that would be really handy this weekend to just make them smaller to bundle.

I would feel a lot better about a Milwaukee version. Cheap import and chainsaw just seem like asking for it that close to your digits.

That actually looks super useful to me. I already overuse my Milwaukee Hack-zall for yard work. This would be better. More dangerous, but more better.

I've never done a tree, but I have taken out a ton of shrubs, limbs, and bushes with it. My uncle uses it to field dress deer.

Yeah, my 18V Sawzall has made short work of a (probably 10 year old) frozen turkey we then boiled for the dog.

You could definitely go all Dexter with either the Sawzall or the little chain saw.  The chain saw is probably better for single handed operation. wink

These would be great to get for the kids to tidy up around the yard!  You'd have to get one for each kid or they'd fight over whose turn it was to use it.

You need one for each hand.

Some of you have never been removed from the pick and pull for utilizing a cordless angle grinder and it shows.

I've cut down trees with this, BK9 for scale.

It's more fun than a tiny chainsaw

Of course, this is followed by the inevitable chainsaw fight.

We've got the Dewalt 20V Max Pole Saw, it has been super handy, and SWMBO has claimed it as hers. I bought her a hard hat and told her to have fun.

Smart man.

I'll also cop to having cut down trees with a sawsall.

Why bring an angle grinder to the yard instead of a sawsall that's quieter?
