No kidding. It always bugs me when people want the president to be someone they'd hang out at the bar with, or slag a president for being "elite".
I WANT him to be elite. I want the best of the best, the very top of the very top people in the country.
I DON'T want the guy I hang out with down at the bar, because he's just some drunk guy in a bar with a handful of good stories that make me laugh. And I sure as hell don't want him to be like me. I don't even have very many good funny stories.
I've ranted about this extensively.
My president should be WAY more intelligent/impressive than me. Excellence is a requirement.
