I grew up pre-internet, way out in the country, not near any of my friends, in the days when long distance telephone cost about about 50 cents a minute unless you called after 11:00p.

I was never bored enough to even consider ingesting some of the crap that people will try smoking or drinking. How uncomfortable do you have to be in your own skull that you'll do dumb E36 M3 like that just to keep from having to entertain yourself some other way?

What's dumber than putting yourself in danger and giving a despotic regime your tourist money by traveling to North Korea?

Answer: Traveling to North Korea and then stealing some cheap bit of hotel decoration, giving the regime an excuse to do this to you:

When I was in China there was a book in the room that described the area. Each page was half English and half Mandarin.

I took the book to the front desk and asked, "How much?" Front desk clerk said "No sale, please wait." The manager came over and said "Sir, please take with our compliments. We will replace when you check out no charge."

Lesson: When in countries that are known for jailing tourists for stupid E36 M3, sometimes it is better to get permission than ask for forgiveness.

This weeks winner, on many levels: http://www.11alive.com/features/trending-today/man-loses-leg-after-shooting-lawmower-full-of-explosives/99971283

Cliffs: Dude trying to make "tacticool" video, apparently doesn't know how his weapon operates (see video) and can't hit the broad side of a barn or, in this case, a lawn mower filled with explosives . . . so he moves closer and tries again. Mayhem ensues. NSFW for explosions/blood and probably language (no sound, so I can't tell you for sure)

A local moron:Stupid Hurts...

My son walked by just before they started their hootus-swinging match, heard a bunch of yelling and horns honking, and left before they locked down the school. Apparently one of the contestants made his own illegal parking place so Snowflake wouldn't have to walk more than ten steps.

Had the following conversation with a fellow driver at this weekend's autocross:

I'm running start. He pulls up, grinning from ear to ear.

Him: "Just kicked out my passenger and was 2 seconds faster on the last run."

Me: "Good Lord, who was your passenger, Fat Albert?"

Him: "No, my wife."

Me: "Oh"

I was going to nominate myself for hitting on the cashier at the dealership, as I bought nozzles and check valves for my wipers. It's going to take a lot more than a 93 miata to sway a redhead who stares at a Saleen mustang all day

As long as you're not already with someone, I fail to see why that was a mistake. It's not like you lose anything if she says no, and it sounds like she was worth risking a rejection.
