I interview thursday for a promotion. Unfortunately part of the interview is telling them why I should be picked. I hate questions like that. Everything else should go pretty smooth I hope. I've been studying for pretty much anything else they may ask and the suit is at the cleaners. Thanks everyone for the advise on the resume.

Good luck. I'm in the interveiw process now and I too really don't like the "why are you the best canidate?" Q. The best answer I have been told to say is "I want it most, not just this position, but the oportunity to prove myself and grow."

Saying this would imply that he's one of them. Not an effective statement. Better to get photos of the other candidates in compromising situations and have them withdraw their applications "voluntarily".
