Well, maybe not, but still pretty cool.

    You be the judge.

It's a neat idea, but he needs a lot more interesting stuff inside.

Interesting idea, but the door must weigh a ton and takes a long time to open.

one big door to let all the warm air out in the winter.

It has potential that is not fully realized. Still pretty cool, though.

unless it's an airplane hangar, I don't see the point. There's no driveway and the door takes more time to open than a nun's legs.

That, and maybe he lives somewhere that doesn't allow more than one garage door and this was a whacky way of getting around it.

Personally, it reminds me of the folding deck my g/f's father built to protect the 20' of windows on the end of their A-frame weekend house when they're not there.

I prefer a house that is near my sister-in-law's. It looks just like that one but the second floor is the owners residence and the first is all garage. Big difference is that there are 4 garage doors on the back of the house. From the front it looks just like any other 2 story house in the area.

This reminds me, there was a real estate sale site mentioned here on the board before. What made the site unique over typical real estate sites is that it featured properties that have exceptional garages.
    Does anyone remember the site?
I have a buddy who just put his house on the market. He build the house when he was young and single and did an exceptional job. What you can not tell in this nice neighborhood is that he has a hobby shop attached where he build show motorcycles.
    House:
    http://www.trulia.com/property/3070980210-920-Glenview-Dr-Huron-OH-44839
From the listing: 21'x27' area shop/recreation room that is fully insulated. It also has epoxy flooring, air lines, (3) 220v outlets and a 8x7 garage door. Unlimited possibilities for this versatile room that would work equally well for a metal or woodworking shop or other hobby shop as it would a man cave.
This space is in addition to the normal 2 car garage.

Him and one of his bikes.

He and the now wife have moved to acres in the country.

It's like he spent all of his money on the garage and the door. Then he had to buy to some thrift shop chairs to put in it. What's with all the vertical space and a door that only opens half way up? Give it a second level or something...what a waste of space (and heat and a/c).

    wow, tough crowd in here.

pretty cool in a "have to get around the HOA rules" kinda way.
