I'm not a gamer by any means (lack of time), but this would make even me run few million laps. Cripes, I'd drive mario kart.

It's a computer, LCD projector, Logitech G35, chair, and a kegerator. The first four things would be easy to find for less money. The last one, although supremely cool, is probably not going to be that useful.

Ryan, does that rig have hydraulics on it?

    Ryan, I dont see a keg :)

Kegerator, not useful? Its actually good for the environment & supplies a better product. I guess serious gamers dont want that devil juice effecting their "talent".

As I understand, once you tap a keg, you need to finish it within a certain time span. For normal home use, you're not going to be able to drink beer that fast.

And if you do want a kegerator, get one. But it's silly to have one built into a gaming setup.

Those silly little hand held controls is the only thing holding many people back from gaming.

Only if you use a hand pump. If you use CO2, its good for 1 month or more.

Its a gimmick, its supposed to make you chuckle. Right?

Yeah it does. It's the same thing that's in the video that Apexcarver posted. It's made by a company called Frex out of Japan. Frex makes all sorts of cool stuff for sim racers, although it's pretty expensive. The motion system for a seat is over $1200 by itself if I remember right. Worth it if you race a lot, but once you factor in shipping from Japan it's a little too much.

Here's another video of it in action.

Check out Frex' site. Look at their brake fluid system to try to replicate the feel of a real brake pedal.

The only problem I can see with the kegerator is that you cannot operate it while playing the game.

The handle should be within easy reach and there should be a camelback style tube running directly to the drivers seat.

This is why we keep the kegerator at work. Seriously. So we can consume the beer at a proper rate. It's a "team building exercise".

They make it so you have to stop the game and get out of the seat to pour a cold one. You know that pouring drinks while driving can be hazardous .... you might spill the drink.

    Frex = cool

But last time I drove my car, the seat didn't move independently of the steering wheel and pedals.

My dad had an 81 Skylark that did, however...

Just me, or does the driving position look to be utterly and unforgivably wrong? It'd be like driving a tricycle.

I'm sorry. "Eight hours from bottle to throttle." We can't allow you to do that.
