Not a big fan, but I'm hooked. It's a reality show with a (very) few guns thrown in. Mostly a bunch of grown men (and one woman) whining like crazy. I have a request. Can we jump forward in time to whenever that d-bag Adam gets elliminated? Please?

I find it kind of interesting. Yes, a bit much "reality", but some of the competitions are good. I honestly think they encourage them to get all political and such, it seems like most of them are just there to find out who is best in a somewhat honorable way. The show does bring up some interesting intricacies of shooting that I was not aware of.

The mix of weapons is OK at this point, but I would like to see some really funky ones a some point. In the pistol challenge I was hoping to see something like the rifle challenge with four different weapons. I was thinking along the lines of Peacemaker, M1911, .44 mag (just because), Beretta. I would love to see those guys try to shoot the .44 straight (part of the challenge could be to recite a Dirty Harry line before each shot).

I am guessing they will not wander into things like spears and axes (which is implied by the opening) since those are not really "shot".

I can't really stomach the show part, but I like the competitions pretty well.

I want MORE variety. Slings, archery, etc... Also, some real ranged shots. So far, I've only seen one challenge where anybody made windage/elevation adjustments. Then again, I've only seen a couple of episodes...

Why did they find it necessary to manufacture so much lame lame lame fake realityshow drama? Is it some sorta union requirement? Much as I enjoyed seeing shooting on mainstream TV, they lost me first episode..

I agree. It would be a great show without all the whining and crying. More ammo and less lip service.

You guys don't understand. The only reason this show exists is to generate yet another vehicle for more whining/bitching-based non-reality TV. The producers of this drivel don't give a tinker's crap what the venue is, as long as it something that nobody else already owns the rights to.

Think of it as the next niche market created solely to jam some new product into, kind of like a small-large-medium-size sport activity 5-door sedan coupe.

They've been running promos on Spike TV for a show about a bunch of guys in Brooklyn who scrap metal:

"They're the best pick-up guys in the business. Of the scrap metal business, that is. Starting August 3, a new weekly comedic reality series, Scrappers, will follow three real Brooklyn scrap metal crews.

The three crews - Frankie's Crew, Sal's Crew, and Mimmo and Dino's Crew - scour the streets for everything from old appliances to abandoned cars to turn what others see as junk into cold hard cash."

You'd think at some point they would run this whole reality thing into the ground, but they keep coming up with new variations on the same theme.

Why does pass time have that ringer as a contenstant? It's sorta like if Jeopardy got that Ken Jennings to come back and play as the house against two saps every night.

Interesting show but why is it on the History Channel? Its cutting into Hitler/Nazi programing.

Becuase you need to spend an extra $10-20 a month to get the top channel pack to get Military channel. Then you can relive WWII 24/7 on the TV.

...Once apone a time MTV played music videos, or so I have been told.

Considering what's on THC these days, it's worth the extra coin to upgrade the cable package. I couldn't watch Top Shot long enough to reach a commercial break.

I just ditched TWC for DirecTV and got the second-highest package, including the military channel, for 40 bucks a month. Free HD for life, too, if you sign up for automatic billpay. I think there may be a day or two left for that deal. I had the channel before, and it's a good channel, along with History International.

Remember when the Military channel was the Wings channel? Awesome stuff on that one.
