Did you read the article? It said he crossed the finish line then slowed to celebrate very common to slow and wave to the crowd and all. It was at that point Jordan hit him doing 124 mph.

I saw that part. I was referencing the other thread about the go-kart racer that yanked the wheel and took out the other guy at the finish line.
