My son, who turns 6 tomorrow, can talk of nothing else. My wife and I have not decided if we are going to take him to see it or not. Any thoughts? He has seen the first one and did not get scared or anything but what do some of you think that have seen it?
I'm not really interested in seeing the movie, but I will say this:
My wife's aunt took our nephews to see it. They can typically handle the PG-13 stuff; though mom doesn't let them watch it. Anyway, according to said aunt: The F-Bomb was dropped more than once, and there was lots of overt sexual innuendo. Probably not appropriate for a 6-year-old, unless you find the idea of him walking around shouting "berkeley this E36 M3" amusing.
Very true. I saw it, and it kinda sucked. The robot twins were Jar Jar -annoying, the editing looked thrown together, with some of the crappiest looking cuts I've ever seen, and the inconsistancies were laughable. I'd say most of the review links posted here are pretty accurate. Paraphrasing one of them, "the humor is too crude and sexually themed for children, yet too childish for teenagers." And to all of you that want to argue "what do you expect from a robot movie, blah, blah, blah" I seriously went into it with the mindset that even if the story, plot, and acting totally suck, at least the fighting robots will save it. They didn't.
