That is a sweet looking truck! Leave the outside just the way it is, neat patina. It appears you are a bit of a NOOB at wrenching, so start slow. The obvious idea, and cheap, too, is to drop in a 350 and Turbo 350 trans. Someday?

Maybe a lil. I know the basics on newer cars. I'm learning more and more with each thing I do on this old truck. I've got a lot done already but the transmission was the part that worried me the most. Once I swap the transmission I'll replace all the wheel cylinders and brake shoes. Maybe then I'll get to the body work, which should be really interesting. I know even less about body work and paint.
