If you read the article, it's clear that one complaint is from a "funsucker" who has image concerns for the airport. Another notes the lackadaisical security that ignores possible trespass and theft. The latter is more an issue than the former.

But, hey, if that's all OK with you, when can I visit your place? I can't wait until I have a chance to wander through your house, open random doors, trash your bathroom and steal a beer.

If I ignore you when you complain, you'll just go away. Right?

Sounds like a regular tuesday night at my place.

CNN says they even cleaned up the bathrooms after themselves. Linky

Seems kind of mild to me. If some airline had cancelled my flight home and left me stranded in the terminal overnight I would probably have trashed the place.

We used to race wheelchairs around the super wide hallways in the church after school. We were allowed to BTW It was awesome because the hallways were sloped so that everything was handicap accessible, and you could really get up some speed before you had to negotiate a 90° turn at the end of the hall, or even better, a 180° with more descent. With a monkey on the back and making full use of one hand brake those things were a friggin' blast.

I think the guys were able to make lemonade and the funsuckers were thirsty. Meh. Haters gonna hate. I liked it, it was a creative use of unexpected free time, if only a little anti-climactic. After the escalator 360°, I was expecting more of a closer.

I had to laugh about how the duo "trashed" the bathroom. The human body is capable of much worse destruction after eating enough airport food, and I'm sure that the janitorial staff has to clean it up daily.

I love all the "there was no sign of security", as though they would bother filming that.

I'm thinking "staged". I worked in a lot of bars and restaurants when I was younger, never ever have I seen booze left out overnight – especially in an open situation like that. Bartenders are usually responsible for shutting off the keg lines before they leave.

I still don't know about that. Jalopnik interview them and this is what he said:

This is a big question: people see you walk into that restaurant (Pappadeuxs) and pour yourself a beer. Did you pay for it?

LC: I wasn't actually going out to steal beer. It was like we just got on this mystical escalator and it took us to this restaurant. If we could have faked it somehow we would have, we just did that just for the shot.

I washed the cup and put it back in the fridge. I wanted to leave no trace. I didn't want to cause any trouble. Next time we go to that airport I'll get a beer and leave a $20 tip.
