    a Nissan 240sx may fit the bill, if you can relax your mileage requirement a little bit (I think they have a small back seat).

    Ive had 4 (!) In an MGB.

    Two in seats far up, two on the shelf with the back window zipped out, and they were out in the wind.

    Kinda like a rumble seat I guess? haha

    I second a SVTF. Back seat is surprisingly large for its pretty small size

    she's not that built.. the car is that stiff on it's coilovers and polybushings.. it's a car that can cripple you for long distance use (not that it bothers me)

    on the subject of 4 in an MGB.. I had four in one of my Fiat Spider's too.. friend and his girl in the passenger seat and my girl on the back "seat" behind us...

    S2000s are getting into your price range. It handles similar to a Miata and has more power.

    Sorry. I meant you as in the original poster. S2000 and young male don't go together cheaply.
