Sometimes it's easier to remember the villians instead of the good guys.

I had some friends who lived happily in Czech Republic for 2 years, and my friend, being a fan of "classics" especially those in the language he was trying to learn, read many of Havels works.
He said good things about the man in his "history of Czech Republic whilst drinking Pilsner", and I remember his name.
When I heard Havel had died I said to my girlfriend "I thought he died years ago", I guess I didn't realize that such a revered figure in the CZ was so recently in power.
