Not to worry. The Mercedes Blutec diesels and the Honda Fit diesel are on the way. Last I heard, they should be hitting showrooms sometime next year.
katonk - M-B already sells plenty of diesels that are on the road currently.
Bryce
Still also proves the electric hybrids can do very well in city MPG.
What we need are diesel/electric hybrids.
Errr...What we need are RWD diesel/electric hybrids.
what we need are no batteries, you hippies always take things way to "literal." Never looking past the general idea, like the fact that the batteries don't last long and are a pain to dispose of. The production of them is very harmful to the environment from the mining or resources, the the refining of them, production, and transportation.
I'd hate to tell one of you I have a flat tire, implying that I'd like help, the only response I would get is "that sucks," as you walk away.
what?

EEEEEEEE!!!!1!1!
<--eagerly awaiting the ability to choose between a diesel and a hybrid Fit.
Where has there been talk of a Fit diesel coming here? I doubt that.
I did too, that says nothing about a diesel for the Fit. It alludes to a diesel that should fit where a current V6 does, which wouldn't be the Fit.
