I am not one to drive a less than half a mile to stop at several stores. If they are all within walking distance and I am not carrying much, I park in one central area and hoof it.
Today, during my "hoofing" it.. I saw three major stupids inside of 10 minutes. It made me want to go home and hide.
The first was on the main highway. The road that crosses it at the light has two turning lanes to get on. As in, both left lanes can turn onto the road. In the inside lane was a pontiac sunfire and on the outside a Ford f150. Both stayed side by side through the intersection.. until the Pontiac drifted wide to slip from the inside lane to the outside.. not allowing for the fact the pickup was already in the outside lane. you can guess who lost that one.
In the parking lot, I watched a lady in a honda odyessy minivan fail trying to get into a parking spot. rather than going wide to pull into the spot she was next to, she just turned in.. her van is going to need new doors on the passengerside.
The best one though.. involved the Cadillac suv/crossover/wagon. I watched a lady put her groceries into the back as I walked through the lot and as finished putting them in, got a phonecall.
She took the call and got in.. forgetting to close the hatch. She pulled out onto the road and had to gun it to pull into traffic, spilling her groceries all over the road. I don;t think she noticed as she just kept going. I would have loved to have seen her face when she realised what had happened.
