that's pretty fantastic. inventions like that give me a little hope for the car situation when i'm middle aged
but even with the doubled efficiency, they're not very efficient, also you need a significant difference in temperature between the hot and cold sides to produce meaningful amounts of electricity, which is rather hard to come by in the air starved regions under the car.
this brings up a question: What ever happened to that guy who was turning car radiators into moving catalysts to help remove smog from the air?
what, like that ionic breeze thing i used to see infomercials for all the time?

All Volvo's since at least 2005 have done that.
