    Anything written about "the EU" in a British paper should be taken with a grain of salt the size of Jupiter. I'm not saying a lot of mindless and inane regulations don't get handed down from Brussels (HAY GUYS thanks for banning lightbulbs! You just saved all the environments!), but if you read about it in British media the view you're getting of it is filtered by hysteria.

    Incidentally, I have some bottled (carbonated) water in the kitchen. It has an expiry date. I'll give you two guesses as to whose idea that was...
