Cloaking is now on the horizon. Didnt Q invent this on some Aston Martin in one of the sucky Brosnan Bond movies?

Star Trek had cloaking first, but Bond had Q first.

the only real flaw with cloaking technology is that you can't fire when the cloak is activated.

You know what? Call me when they develop a cloaking device that passes through matter. I promise I won't end up halfway in an asteroid.

the Romulans did some experimenting with that, and Geordi and Ro Laren wound up trapped slightly out of phase with the rest of the crew, with comical results... the Federation also tried screwing around with "phase shifting", and the ship wound up embedded inside an asteroid...

SG1 also got to play with phase shifting technology at one point- they actually made the entire earth "disappear" so that some Ori super weapon would pass straight thru the earth..

I like what Uhura said when she figured how to blow a cloaked ship out of the sky..

Uhura: "We have equiment on board to track gaseous anomolies, right?"

    Everyone but Uhura: "Huh?"

Major comeback from Uhura: "Well, the things GOTTA have a tailpipe.."
