This is one of those times when I am glad to claim that I come from this somewhat backwards, square-sided little state...

Utah makes Browning M1911 official State Firearm

I shot one for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Shoots well and all but I think half of the allure and awesomeness is purely the fact that it was in service for soooo long. Great gun nonetheless... It just wasn't "OMG THE MOST AWESOME THING TO EVER BE CREATED" that my friends made it up to be.

The official rock song of Ohio is Hang On Sloopy. That's far cooler.

Kudos to Utah. I'm not sure if JMB designed the Browning Hi-power, but I love it as much as the 1911. The man knew his stuff.

and screw you Pennsylvanina. What wrong with honoring a weapon that helped win our independence? Oh wait, would that would give too much creedence to the Second Amendment?

Ohio is the buckle on the rust belt, so you have that going for you.
