I sold some hobby crap on EvilBay to pay for an XBOX and had the cash this weekend. Target was out of their Black Friday specials by the time I got there (on Sunday afternoon, lol!). Luckily Microsoft was doing $100 off on Cyber Monday! My dumb ass didn't "get around" to looking at actually purchasing it until noon PST, at which point all 5 different bundles were sold out. FML!

So yeah, I've got $300 and I want an XBOX 360, and they must go on sale again somewhere. Right, right??!?!?

    Please help.

Create an account on Slickdeals.net It's a forum for cheapasses/bargain hunters. Sort the deals in List format(format options are up at the top of the page). MUCH easier to read. Once you create an account you can have slickdeals email you whenever a deal pops up with your keywords i.e. Xbox 360 Bundle. Good deals on Xbox360s pop up on there every week or two.

On a side note, are you still looking for a wireless solution for your xbox? I have a wireless gaming router I got for free that I'm never going to use. It's yours for the cost of shipping ($7?)

The current XBOX is not mine, and my buddy is clamoring to get it returned, hence my desire to go buy my own.

I meant more in general. You'll still need something to access the interwebs when you get your own Xbox

    Doesn't the new S model have Wi-Fi access built-in?

You are correct sir. I haven't been paying much attention to the refreshed versions of either console (ps3/360). Carry on!

there are other stores to shop at.. does a Kmart exist in your area? Shopko? Wal Mart? Pamida? small locally owned store in the local mall?

they might actually have them, and might even have a competitive price..

TigerDirect has a 4GB version for just $199. But they have other versions as well.

I don't think I paid much more than that from GameStop for my refurb model.

Yes, but use it as a last resort. There is a noticeable difference when it is hard wired. Its very noticeable on Forza.

No internet wiring in our living room Everything in the house operates off of my wireless router in the bedroom.

And $199 for the 4GB is the MSRP. The 250GB S is $299 but had I bought on Monday I could have had the 250GB w/Kinect for the same price.

The Kinect head tracking is fantastic. Makes a bigger difference than you would expect. I highly suggest getting it.

The pause menu has a tuner allowing you to clip background and increase out decrease response. Once you get it down, you are set. Head rest chairs may cause a problem, but I haven't used one. You'll thank Santa.

If you have a basement or an atic it is really easy to fix that problem.

We have a half-attic and the cathedral ceiling is in the you guessed it) living room! No basement.

I can just hope that my stupid-expensive wireless router has the power to get it done... (and it's pretty awesome for PC games, so that's a serious hope...).

The problem you will experience is the upload ping loss. I've noticed I need a minimum ping if 2.5 megs/sec upload to keep up. I run 6 meg DSL. Had a friend with 16 meg/sec cable and barely could hold when wired and he preferred wireless. It caused a lot of problems. So, minimum 6 meg DSL (probably want higher than that if wireless) or hypersonic cable is your answer.

That's the 4GB version, and $299 is the MSRP.

I could have had the 250GB Kinect for that price, which is what I ideally want.

Soooo... Anybody find a deal yet?
