Ten Years After - I'd Love to Change the World
Annie and I got to Bill's shortly before six tonight. Deb, the twelve-to-six bartender had seventies music playing on SeriusXM and I liked this. I hadn't heard or even thought of it in many years, and it brought back memories. So here it is, a classic from my youth.
But then Kevin the bartender came in for the six-to-closing shift and wisely switched to SeriusXM's "Classic Vinyl," and some really great music came forth. Even though the bar was extremely busy, Kevin and I had a great discussion about PF. We both dislike Roger Waters, and like David Gilmour.
Last time they all performed together. To me this proves that David Gilmour was the man, and Roger Waters was merely a poseur. Maybe he contributed to lyrics, but he certainly wasn't the soul of PF as he thinks he was. Great to see Nick Mason on percussion and Richard Wright on keyboards, and briefly Dick Parry on sax. Great live performance in downtown London, and it's apparent that the audience really appreciated the band.
I'll drink up all the Hennessy you got on your shelf, so just let me introduce myself.
(I like my oatmeal lumpy, and I'll eat up all your crackers and your licorice)
This is David (S!) Wallens' fault.
That intro guitar... and then the rising energy as Intro to Reality builds and builds... and then!
Annie and I were at Bridge Street Live in Collinsville, CT last night to see Eilen (Eee-Len) Jewell. We had seen her at this same venue last September and loved her performance. So we had to see her again. We weren't disappointed. And she sang this song. But a great benefit to seeing her band is seeing Jerry Miller on guitar. Jerry is spectacular. Early seventies in age, and an original member of Moby Grape in the sixties (look them up). After 50+ years of professional guitar playing, Jerry is superb, and the audience rewarded him after each solo. So we had a great evening.
Jerry Miller played guitar on this back in the sixties. He was good then, but he's better now after fifty years of work. If the Eilen Jewell Band plays near you, go see them. You won't be disappointed.

Everything's Gonna be Allright
I know this is a trendy song right now, but I'm listening and appreciating. It so fits the circumstances for many, perhaps not me, but many, and I understand. Chill out. Things will be all right. Really. Don't be hittin' that damn panic button! (This is a great song, and I love the artists).
Sorry for the bold font. I can't seem to change it.
