Annnnd, my kids said it was creepy.
Gary said:I liked this song back in the day. But I remember it mostly as the close of the movie (highly recommended) American Graffiti. "Where were you in '62?"
nonexistent...
RIP Charlie.
Newly released rare AdyS song that uses an actual living singer...
Was also in a slightly metal mood at work and had a few of my favorites from Utsu-P in the playlist....
In a wandering mind kind of mood.
Jean Michel Jarre, Equinox, Equinox Infinity, followed by all 20 parts of Oxygene.
Taylor Swift has a new album out. I'm listening to it between conference calls.
I said it, I like T-Swift, fight me.

Since you're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy over there, listening to Taylor Swift,
and I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy over here, I don't see any need to fight.
Can't hear it from my house.
This is a 1983 concert. Concerts were much more theatrical then. Not great by today's standards. The song is great, one of Mark's best. Mark's guitar skills are great. They still are. I like today's concerts better. Jason and I saw Mark last August at Foxwoods. And 36 years after the video posted above, Mark was even better. His back-up band was great. So why did I post this old video? It's important to see the early years. This is a great Mark Knopfler song. If he never wrote the song and performed it then, then we couldn't appreciate it now.
For fans of the heavier stuff:
I've been enjoying the heck out of the Two Minutes to Late Night covers of classic rock standards that they have been doing for years now. Since the pandemic started, they switched to a "bedroom" format and have had a bunch of special guests where they raise money for charity. They are always great. This week's video is a cover of Rush's Anthem. It is phenomenal. (Video may have NSFW language in there somewhere):
Check this lineup:
-Les Claypool (Primus)
-Danny Carey (Tool)
-Bill Kelliher (Mastodon)
-Claudio Sanchez (Coheed & Cambria)
-Stephen Brodsky (Mutoid Man, Cave In, Old Man Gloom)
-And of course, Gwarsenio Hall, the host of the show
If tours ever happen again, I would pay good money to see this lineup cover more Rush songs.

Yeah. A healthy does of Hendrix blues work in there, but that's not at all.
