There are those who call me...Ross. wrote: I just remember that they called him T-bird because that was the car he drove. That and the character seemed like the aura you are trying to project (nothing personal )

None taken. That's about the right image for this project.

I dig the Caddies for sure, but I'm beginning to lean towards a Lincoln. There's a '69 (perfect year for this nonsense) Continental Mark III near me for cheap, advertised as having a 'perfect interior.' I may be able to trade him my 'responsible' car as-is for the Lincoln with a little cash my way. If I can scare up enough cash to finish the 460 I've got half built, I should be on my way. Paint it black, cut off the mufflers, stuff the wheel wells with the biggest steel wheels and rubber I can fit, lower it from there if possible, black out the windows...the only logical step from there is a supercharger and hi-rise intake poking through the hood.

So, refining my criteria: coupe, somewhat sinister-looking, not necessarily limited to the luxo-yacht arena (I wouldn't say no to a Torino/Satellite/Chevelle sized thing).

My friend has a 2008 300 C Hemi with a H/I/C setup. He just picked up a four door 66 300 with a 383 and staight pipes. It is simply badass. 18 feet long, black and low.

I am doing a very similar project with a freebee 72 Ranchero, it is planned to go in the Babe Rally with a death race/Mad Max-esque theme.

    Project and pics to date

This thread made me start looking for old cars, and I stumbled upon this

I can't imagine anything nastier than this.

I would LOVE to do the classic muscle/pissed off looking car thing but my dream deviates from your plan in one way...diesel. I'd stuff the engine compartment with turbo diesel craziness.

And a six speed...it has to have a six speed...

Wow. I don't think I want to ride with anybody crazy enough to build that. It's like a rusty dog crate five feet in the air with a truck underneath it.

    I second nocones Torino suggestion.

    Here's a ratty looking GT with a 4spd and 390.

Just add bigger V8, and sidepipes, or cherry bombs. Or side-exit cherry bombs.

67 Newport, had one in high school that was exactly what you described. Found some vids on youtube that remind me of mine so much that I want to get another one.

Why is this thread in "Off-Topic" ?

My thoughts on the subject tend to revolve around 80's Crown Vics for cruising/towing/rally-x action.

    I should've kept my wagon... http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/reader-rides/617/

Heh. I didn't think of it so much as motorsports-based, as much as terrorizing-the-normals-based. Not that I'm opposed to autocrossing (or rallyxing) whatever deth sled I wind up with.

I'd be happy doing this all day long.

Ooh. Yeah. My 460 would drop right in, and bolt up to that 4 speed... Now we're talking.
